The Christmas season is nearly here... Well the season is really here! That is why you haven't heard from me for a while. I've been making cards! We've done cards for a nursing home for about 4 years, so I thought I would share some of our ideas. Let me tell you how I got motivated! I have a box of scraps under one of my craft tables. In the box are plastic bags of scraps of paper in all different colors
so... I just plain dumped the 'blue bag' and made a zillion cards, (almost), so I could try to use the blue scraps! I used stamps from all different companies. The ones above (not blue yet) were from PSX and the tree stamped simply with stazon on gold cardstock, is from Stampington.
Just love the medallions! Usually I emboss a bunch of them and them do the cutting while I watch TV. I was going to say mindless tv. I used the cuttlebug background and lots of punches. These two are Fiskars border punches.
Both Santas are photocopies of old prints. Added bows and ribbons. Used different embossing powders on some. I feel justified, there I said it, justified when I use my supplies! The background for Santa on the left evne has two different powders! Silver & Champagne.
The Ornament card was a fun one! It was made entirely in photoshop! It was done with brushes. I forgot where I got them. I would link to her if I could remember. Maybe in the next post. Have 1000's of brushes. Love photoshop..just addicted..Made several of these using different blending modes! Different colors.
The next cards are from my good friend Sande. She sent me a ton of card fronts. I think the stamps on both cards came from Onyx Impressions.
Sometimes the detail on the pop-ups scare me!
The next cards were made by another good friend, Emily. These are sooo nice. Emily uses her punches almost exclusively. You should see the punched valentine cards (from last year) in the gallery at The Artistic Avenues. Emily is definitely the Punch Queen!
Same punch (little tree), just punched different colors or different backgrounds.
I want this one for me! She used punches, cuttlebug backgrounds and the nestabilities. Don't forget the tiny cord & all the glitter!
Lastly for today is our Inkadinkadoo tree and Happy Holidays. Easy card!
We have over 100 done and about that much more to do. I will add more when we can share some new ideas!
Meanwhile tomorrow is our Friday GirLs ATC exchange.... That is going to be fun. Did I say Clay ATC'S?? Share that after tomorrow!

She is so funny!

The inside graphics are just as good as you can see. There are coats for $19.90 and dresses for $2.90. Very cool. Did I mention that the ribbon was lovely....
